The 2017 Golf for H.O.P.E. committee is working very hard preparing for this upcoming tournament, silent auction, and dinner to take place on Saturday September 30, 2017. Please, everyone, mark your calendars for this worthwhile endeavor. Each of us has either already been affected by cancer or will be in our lifetime in some way. We are proud and privileged this year to raise funds for H.O.P.E.

H.O.P.E. (Help for Oncology Problems & Emotional Support) is based in New Freedom, PA and provides all of its services through volunteers and at no charge to cancer patients and their families primarily residing in York County and Northern Maryland communities. Priorities for H.O.P.E. families include assistance with meals, groceries and transportation, support groups, special cancer-related accessories for women, hospital equipment, educational and resource materials, limited in-home support services, and scholarships to high school seniors who have a diagnosis of cancer in their families.

A H.O.P.E. representative will be managing the silent auction.
In years past, through the generous support of BACC members and donations from local businesses for our tournament prizes and silent auction and through our tournament players, our Club’s cancer charity tournament has raised funds for cancer support and research. Last year we donated over $10,000. Our goal this year is to surpass that amount with all proceeds going directly to our local community (our neighbors and friends) affected by cancer through the H.O.P.E. organization.
